Then Collins Aerospace is the place for you!As a Supplier Quality Specialist you will work remotely representing our Landing Systems Programs team based out of Haltom City, TX; you will travel nationally, visiting suppliers and driving cross-functional collaboration between Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality teams for both Collins Aerospace and our Suppliers.You will establish partnerships at all levels within the suppliers, emphasizing collaboration, clear expectations, common goals, trust & transparency. You willidentify risks and gaps in supplier manufacturing processes and develop sustainable gap closure plansWhat YOU Will Do:

Develop and lead implementation of solutions to nonconformities and to satisfy quality issues raised by possible drawing, design and customer inputs

Drive processes to identify and manage risk in product development, (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, PPAP and Control Plans, etc.) with suppliers

Direct Escape management procedures, root cause analysis, develops recommendations for corrective action for design problems for supplier produced products & processes

Coordinate cross-functionally to address supply base non-conformances and develop recovery plans

Provide analysis of customer quality requirements against external procedures and processes to ensure compliance

Lead onsite supplier audits/assessments (QMS, Manufacturing Process Reviews, Measurement System Analysis, Special processing, Etc.)

With your excellent communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal) you will summarize complicated technical topics quickly and concisely

Position will report directly to Senior Manager of Supplier Quality

Local Travel Required up to 80% or more

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Minimum 3 years of experience must be able to read blueprint 3D Catia and 2D drawings

Minimum 3 years of experience with SAP, ETQ & NetInspect

Minimum 3 years experience in Quality Engineering and/or Quality Assurance

Qualifications We Prefer

Program and or technical project management experience

Experience with external customers

Aerospace industry experience

AS9145 / APQP / PPAP experience

Manufacturing experience in mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic assemblies.

NADCAP/ Special processing experience

ASQ CQE / Six Sigma certifications

MRB experience

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
