Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff - Public in the CPA Firm industry, based in Austin, Texas. This role primarily involves tax preparation and auditing, along with potential work in attestation areas. The successful candidate will be part of a team that values professional development and provides individual coaching to help staff reach their highest goals.Responsibilities: Prepare federal and state tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returns, as well as payroll and sales tax Conduct research on various tax issues as part of tax preparation Document client information and prepare tax work papers Manage workload effectively both individually and within groups Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills, contributing to and participating in task resolution Establish and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel to manage projects efficiently Work effectively with other team members Utilize various systems and tools, such as CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, Gosystem, Management System, and Microsoft Excel, to perform accounting functions, auditing, cash activity, compliance, and customer service Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with professionals at all levels within the team and with clients. Requirements Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in a CPA firm or similar environment Proficient in the use of CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, and Gosystem Familiarity with Management System and Microsoft Excel is required Demonstrable knowledge of Accounting Functions and Auditing Experience in managing Cash Activity and ensuring Compliance Excellent Customer Service skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders Must have the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Must be willing to continue learning and improving professional skills.
