Registered Dental Asisstant

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant who is open to being crossed trained for Front Desk to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and procedures, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a comfortable experience for our patients. Potential candidate must be reliable, punctual, and willing to be a team player.

Hours:

Monday-Thursday (8:15am-5:30pm) with 1 hour lunch break

Education and Experience:

Dental Assisting certified (Preferred but not required)

1 year experience in the dental setting (Preferred)

Customer service 2 years (Preferred)

Dental experience/knowledge preferred but willing to train the right candidate

Front Desk experience is a plus!

Duties-

As a Registered Dental Assistant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Assisting the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.

Performing medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.

Maintaining infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Engaging in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.

Supporting the dentist in endodontic treatments and other general dentistry tasks.

Educating patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene practices.

Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

Strong understanding of general dentistry practices, including infection control measures.

Experience with four-handed dentistry to provide optimal assistance during procedures.

Knowledge of endodontics is preferred but not mandatory.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage patient records efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift

No weekends

License/Certification:

Registered Dental Assistant License (Required)

CPR Certification (Required)

Authorized to work in the U.S. (Required)
