Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boat Captain to join our team. As a Boat Captain, you will be responsible for managing and operating our boats, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew, and providing an exceptional boating experience. Duties:
- Manage and operate boats, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and protocols
- Rig boats with necessary equipment and supplies for each trip
- Safely navigate waterways, taking into account weather conditions and potential hazards
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, answering questions and addressing concerns
- Conduct regular inspections of boats to ensure proper functioning of all systems
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of boats, including regular cleaning and maintenance
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from boats
- Communicate effectively with crew members to ensure smooth operations
- Availability Weekdays and Weekends Fri, Sat, Sun, and Holidays a MUST
-Knowledgeable able about Boater safety and Water safety
-Posses or obtain a Texas Party Boat Captains license
-Possess or obtain a Boaters Safety Course Certificate
-Ability to work 12-14 hour days in the Heat and Sun of the Summer on the Lake
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge of boats and their systems
- Excellent navigational skills, including the ability to read charts and use GPS systems
- Proficient in boat handling techniques, including docking and maneuvering in various conditions
- Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions in emergency situations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in challenging situations
