Job Title: Lead Foreman (Concrete Forming/Finishing & General Construction)

Location: Lakeway and other cities around the Austin Area

Pay Range: $25 to $30 per hour

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Hours: 48-50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Foreman to oversee and participate in various construction projects, with a primary focus on concrete forming and finishing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work and general construction, including tasks such as gabion mattresses, earthwork, and silt fencing. As a working foreman, you will be responsible for directing a small team of workers while actively participating in the hands-on aspects of the job.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead by Example: Direct and work alongside a team of construction workers to complete projects efficiently and safely.

Concrete Forming and Finishing: Oversee and perform tasks related to concrete forming, pouring, and finishing, ensuring high-quality results.

General Construction: Participate in and supervise various construction tasks, including the installation of gabion mattresses, earthwork, and silt fencing.

Team Supervision: Provide clear instructions, delegate tasks, and ensure that team members adhere to safety standards and project timelines.

Project Coordination: Collaborate with site supervisors and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed, ensuring compliance with specifications and industry standards.

Problem-Solving: Identify and address any issues that arise during construction, offering practical solutions to keep projects on track.

Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members are working in a safe environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete forming, finishing, and general construction.

Proven experience as a foreman or in a similar leadership role.

Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work long hours, including some Saturdays.

Physical ability to perform manual labor and operate construction equipment.
