The Refrigerant Recovery Technician is responsible for operating refrigerant recovery, recycling and reclaiming devices to minimize refrigerant impact on the environment and enable the safe disposal of refrigerant units.
High school diploma or its equivalent;
At least six months of related experience;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC principles and techniques;
Working knowledge of the different types of refrigerants, as well as the proper disposal and recycling procedures for each;
Working knowledge of the operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and tools used in the assigned work area;
Problem-solving and solution implementation skills;
Ability to work productively with minimal supervision;
Reliable transportation; and
Availability to work after standard business hours, holidays and weekends, as scheduled.
Clean Air Act Section 608 Technician Certification, Level I and II.
