Digital Marketing Internship in the Healthcare/Medical Field

Company & Description - Hold the Knife (HtK) is a small for-profit patient concierge consultation business for knee problems. Unlike a traditional healthcare service, HtK empowers patients with personalized guidance on medical decisions—like second opinions, surgical risks, and treatment navigations—where an MD leads deep-dive patient consultations upon engagement.
You will be working directly for a veteran Orthopedic Medical Device CEO and exposed to:
1. Live social media campaigns for patient education and outreach
2. Analytical Metrics, Optimization and A/B testing of various sorts every week.
3. Total transparency of the business.
We are looking for a special intern to help manage our multi-stage HIGH volume inquiry funnel in the most efficient way possible.
Work will primarily include:
- Creating and scheduling text, image, and video content for HtK Facebook and Instagram pages (all organic).
- Giving brutally honest feedback on campaign prompts and performance metrics.
Work will not include:
- Advanced data science modeling.
- Sophisticated audience segmentation analyses.
- Anything that you or anyone else thinks is a waste of time.
Requirements
- Someone who is HUNGRY and EAGER to learn A LOT
- Common sense and ability to think independently
- Keen interest in digital marketing and healthcare (else you'll hate this)
- Comfort with chaos
- Able to work a MINIMUM of 10 hours a week (1 hour per day with content + Zoom calls with team) and commit to weekly Zoom call
Compensation
This is a performance-based internship with profit sharing: you'll earn a direct share of profits from each new paying patient client acquired through your contributions to campaigns. If you are looking for a glamorous internship in a formal, prestigious work environment, this job is not for you. We're operating virtually from the Austin TX area. I will provide letters of recommendation as well as introductions to anyone should you perform well.
I will also help you with recruiting, interviewing, and finding a full-time role if you want me to.
