Vice President, Senior Software Developer (Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) – Austin, TX); Multiple positions available. Architect software solutions for complex, high-volume data environments; Develop containerized microservices using Python; Collaborate with software development team to fix and improve existing applications; Monitor and assess current system performance; Identify scalability issues and opportunities; Support software testers and application engineers during deployments and maintenance; Provide support for testing, development, and staging environments; and Communicate with RESTful services.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 4 years of experience providing software development or software engineering services to the Financial Services Industry. Must have four years of experience in each of the following: Java; Python; Python FLASK Framework; AWS; Spark; Oracle; Linux and Unix; and PL and SQL. Experience may be gained concurrently.
