Capitol Iron Works is looking for quality-minded, detail focused, and production driven team player to fill a full-time Production Manager that will facilitate our fabrication, production, and installation needs. Our focus is the fabrication and installation of custom iron railings, steel stairs, and structural steel. We are a growing, entrepreneurial company that has more work than we can handle. This is a "working manager" position, managing a small team in helping maintain production and installation profitability.
Production Manger’s duties will include:
- Manage and train the Fabrication and Installation teams to ensure quality and production
- Scheduling, managing, and/or performing all PM and maintenance work on all machines and fixtures.
- Work with Operations Manager to meet production goals and to meet customer’s needs
Job skill requirements and wants:
- Demonstrable ability to lead a team
- Ornamental iron fabrication and welding expertise
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Highest attention to detail and quality
- Pace and production driven
- Works well in a team environment
- High level of reliability
- CAD experience or willingness to learn
