We need YOU!Where the chemistry happens…The Operations Manager is responsible for the following functions within the Dicamba, Formulations, and Site Utilities Production areas: safety, environmental conditions, operations leadership, manufacturing cost, and project implementation. These areas produce the Dicamba active ingredient, as well as lead the operations team responsible for our formulations and packaging areas, and our site utilities. Ensuring that daily monitoring and cost control occurs for raw material usage, analytical data, and production reporting.
Ensuring that improvements are identified, initiated, and implemented to reduce costs and improve safety, reliability, and environmental security.
Ensuring that training is conducted for all process and/or equipment changes for operators and supervisors as well as Operator Refresher Training on the entire unit once every three years.
Monitoring and/or conducting shift leader and/or operator training as required to promote safe and environmentally responsible conditions, actions, and processes.
Directing unit safety programs and supporting/implementing site safety programs.
Developing an annual operating plan and budget for the Dicamba, formulations, and utilities units.
Participating in environmental and safety audits and following-up to implement all action steps required.
Ensuring that all technical Dicamba and formulated products meet all product quality specifications.
Ensuring that all operating procedures, SOP’s, interlock descriptions, and start-up and shutdown procedures are up-to-date and in-place for the Dicamba, formulations, and utilities units and that all process and/or equipment changes are reviewed and documented to meet the Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) requirements.
Participating on the Site Leadership Team and contributing to the site Quality Improvement Process and Cost Savings programs.
If you have
At least 10+ years of technical experience in chemical manufacturing (such as in-plant operations, multiple chemical plant start-up, process/project engineering, etc.).
BS in engineering, chemistry, or other related technical degree is required
Leadership experience (in areas such as Operations, Production or you’ve led large project teams and completed capital projects in manufacturing) is a plus and not required.
In-depth knowledge of production, engineering, safety, environmental and working knowledge of maintenance and quality control issues.
A high safety acumen and solid business acumen.
A commitment to training compliance.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven organizational skills and ability to follow through.
