Position requires individual to cut, trim, and fabricate wholesale beef products in a production line setting

Functional Requirements

Ability to lift, push, and pull product repetitively in a hot and/or cold assembly line environment

Ability to work with sharp instruments

Must maintain good personal hygiene

The Cactus operation is a two-shift, beef processing facility and distribution center located in the panhandle of Texas. Employs a total of 3,023 team members.Cactus is a key beef export plant, exporting approximately 23% of production to different countries including Japan, Mexico and Chile. This position ensures all aspects of the maintenance mechanic functions are performed in a safety and acceptable method.

Performs preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment that is assigned by the maintenance supervisors/lead hand.

Assist other areas of the plant when major problems occur

Functional Requirements

Completes all assigned tasks scheduled and unscheduled work as directed by supervisor

Assist in the day to day operations of the maintenance department. Includes but is not limited to the assistance of all maintenance areas of the plant, insuring that all assigned areas of the maintenance department areas are being monitored and documented as required by safety, food safety, company policy, & procedures

The facility processes more than one million head of cattle per year. GREELEYThe Greeley operation is a two-shift, beef processing facility located on the east side of Greeley, Colorado. Employs a total of 3,035 team members.Greeley is a key beef export plant, exporting approximately 30% of its production to 20 different countries around the world including Japan, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, Singapore, Korea, China and Chile. The facility processes more than 1,346,000 head per year.Brands HYRUMThe Hyrum beef plant is located in the northern part of Utah, nestled in the Cache Valley in a small community called Hyrum. Employs a total of 1,320 team members.Hyrum processes nearly 1/2 million cattle per year and exports approximately 20% of its production to Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mexico and Korea. Know for the Blue Ribbon Beef brand, the Hyrum beef plant produces the highest quality native cattle for customers around the world. GRAND ISLANDThe Grand Island operation is a two-shift, beef-processing facility located in central Nebraska north of Interstate 80. Employs a total of 3,292 team members.Grand Island has the capacity to process more than 1,400,000 cattle per year and currently exports to 20 different countries around the world including Japan, Hong Kong, Mexico, Korea, Canada, Singapore, China and Chile. Grand Island loaded out approximately 10,140,000 boxes of beef in 2012.
