That's where you come in.GROUP DIRECTOR, MANUFACTURING - Carrollton, TXSALARY RANGE: $180,000 to $200,000 YrlyThe Group Director, Manufacturing plays a pivotal role in our organization's manufacturing operations, overseeing and optimizing production processes, ensuring quality standards are met, and driving operational excellence within the division. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with strong managerial skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing principles and industry best practices.WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing division, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Build and lead a high-performing team of managers, engineers, supervisors, and production staff.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Develop and manage the manufacturing division's budget, monitoring expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency enhancements.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to drive operational excellence.
Ensure that products meet or exceed quality standards by implementing robust quality control measures and continuous improvement processes.
Respond promptly to quality issues and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure seamless material procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Promote a culture of safety within the division, implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
Investigate and address safety incidents promptly.
Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to senior management.
Analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field;
Proven experience (8+ years) in manufacturing leadership roles with a track record of driving operational excellence.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Multi-state, multi-plant experience
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
Deep understanding of quality assurance and compliance standards.
Experience in implementing automation is a plus.
Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
