Will Call Specialist

The position of Will Call Specialist will be based out of our Carrollton, TX location!SummaryThe Will Call Specialist is responsible for picking and processing of orders for customer/branch will call, small package, and freight outs. Responsible for handling all processing of orders, paperwork, and procedures necessary.What You’ll Do

Must behave consistently with the Company’s Core Competencies, Polices, Procedures and focus on safety

Utilize RF (Radio Frequency) hand-held devices and printer during the picking process

Perform daily machine check list and operate any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required

Efficiently and accurately pick, label, and stage orders for customer/branch will call, small packages, and freight out orders for outbound shipments and or will call pick up

Properly handle, move, stack, and/or pack various types of merchandise for pick up or shipment

Ensure products are free of damage

Carry or transport orders to the will call or small package staging areas with any material handling equipment as needed

Accurately process all small package shipments

Collect all will call paperwork and signatures

Interact with customers and branch drivers in a polite professional manner

Properly use and understand all computer programs and hardware necessary for completion of the job task

Report any damage to electronic hardware, material handling equipment and the Distribution Center immediately to a Supervisor

Other duties as assigned

High School or GED

1+ years of customer service, distribution center, or similar experience

Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Ability to exhibit a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude with customers and to be sensitive to their needs

Excellent computer skills demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Excel), automated order entry systems, and other internet-based tools

Product knowledge a plus

Warehouse Management System (WMS), AS/400, or other systems knowledge a plus

Must have good work approach and be flexible when it comes to assigned job functions

Must be able to work in a team environment and self-motivated

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and understand RF scanning devices

Bilingual in Spanish is preferred

Ability to work overtime
