Title: Senior Systems Engineer Location: Corpus Christi, TX
The Senior Systems Engineer provides troubleshooting, onsite and remote support for Information Technology such as servers, storage, desktops, printers, phones and network equipment for small and medium business clients. May be part of a project team in implementing a technical solution. Your role:
Perform projects or service work as assigned - researching and developing a detailed scope of work; preforming technical work as indicated, troubleshooting complex issues and performing project management duties as needed
Configure, deploy and provide advanced support for devices and solutions related to advanced networking, hosted infrastructure, servers, virtual desktop or Citrix, active directory, email migrations, backup and DR
Support sales team with presales technical engineering for prospects and clients. This includes identifying the best technical solutions to address business needs, estimating and validating costs, design and documentation for implementation methodology and assistance in preparing and presenting proposals to customers
Provide leadership both internally and externally by mentoring and training technical staff, handling escalated tickets, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues regarding software, hardware, network, systems and application support and providing superior communication with our clients to ensure client satisfaction
Maintain key performance indicators including real-time time entry and documentation, resolution time, billable utilizations and client satisfaction
Deploy backup solutions to ensure the integrity and recoverability of clients' data both on and offsite
Provide support for mobile workforce access back to a production environment to include but no limited to, smart phones, iPad, SSL-VPN, laptops
Configure, deploy and manage storage configurations such as iSCSI, Fiber Channel and NAS and customers' Advanced
Provide documentation of technical environment of both internal and client systems
Other duties as assigned
What you've got:
Strong knowledge of enterprise systems and processes to include desktop support, peripheral support, software support/interoperability, Windows and Linux based systems and applications, network protocols, network and systems security, networking and connectivity, telecommunications, storage and backup, & email services
5-7 years of VMWARE or Hyper-V virtualization administration
Strong oral and communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
3 years of storage administration
5-7 years of Information Technology support for SMB clients for an IT Managed services provider preferred
MCITP, MCSE, RHCT, AWS, Azure, CCNA or VCP certifications preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
