22711BRTitle:Talent Acquisition/Recruitment SpecialistJob Description:Position Summary:The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment of field positions, both professional/exempt and non-exempt/skilled trade, with a primary focus on AEP Texas Service Territory.This position will be located at AEP Texas Home Office in Corpus Christi.Essential Functions:Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Leads, Hiring Managers, and HR Business Partners to determine staffing needs in assigned geographic areas and/or operating companies.

Conduct high volume, full-cycle recruitment, including all post-offer tasks in preparation of new hire start/onboarding.

Source for qualified/experienced candidates for assigned positions/areas through both traditional and nontraditional sources, including career fairs, community networking, and social media.

Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients, internal and external, to ensure achievement of staffing goals and objectives.

Communicate important employment information during extension of employment offers and throughout pre-employment process, including ownership of timely completion of new hire onboarding steps/tasks and timely clearance/completion to meet target new hire start dates.

Ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including EEOC and OFCCP rules/regulations, and Affirmative Action Plans, as well as file retention and other internal policy compliance.

Manage large volume of applicant and candidate activity within ATS, with high-level focus on consistency, attention to detail, and organization to achieve high-degree of efficiency and productivity.

Support the development of assigned Affirmative Action Plans and associated diversity hiring objectives.

Actively Participate in Talent Acquisition Team activities, including staff meetings, process improvement discussions, and peer collaboration initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field.

Work Experience requirement listed below:Three years of corporate experience in recruitment and placement of applicants in professional and management level exempt positions, including one year of knowledge and experience working with electronic applicant systems and internet recruiting sourcesRequired License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below

Valid State Driver's License
