A brand-new liquor store in North Grand Prairie is looking for an outgoing store manager with liquor and wine experience.
We are looking for someone dependable that is fun and outgoing that will do a great job with pride. This is a smaller store with two register positions. We have a full liquor inventory, great wine selection, and a beer cave. This will be a great opportunity to start with and grow with a brand-new company in 2022
Job Summary:
To oversee the operation of a small retail store, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, team member management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage.
Job Duties:
1. Ensure that each customer receives outstanding Customer Service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of operational and marketing plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
3. Control inventory, expenses, and payroll.
4. Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise displays; ensure selling floor is adequately stocked.
5. Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store walk-through and audits, etc.
6. Continually evaluate and react to performance issues.
7. Responsible for staffing, directing and monitoring training and development for all store personnel.
8. Scheduling and management of all interactions between the store and all suppliers.
9. Assistance and interaction with all event level sales and charity projects
10. Ensure proper facility maintenance.
11. Any other responsibilities as assigned by the owners
Qualifications and Requirements
Job Requirements:
1. Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system.
2. Ability to communicate with associates and guests.
3. Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
4. Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
5. Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
6. Willingness to work a flexible schedule to include a combination of mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. (We are closed Sunday and Monday)
7. Be able to pass a criminal background check
8. Must be at least 21 years old
Job Qualifications:
1. Willingness to take direction and grow.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
4. Previous retail, distributor rep, or liquor and wine experience. We are a smaller location; the right person is more important than a ton of previous experience.
5. Willingness to work any shift during store hours (10am to 9pm)
6. Willingness to work with off site promotional company for charity events
