The primary purpose of this position is to provide analytical research and design support to meet the needs of an organization. The Senior Business Analyst designs models and utilizes analysis and solution development methods, including process maps, flow charts, and diagrams. This role will lead large strategic initiatives and develop functional and non-functional technical requirements and assist with the overall delivery by the team. Actively lead technical and analytical efforts and initiatives that require data analysis or are technical in nature. Research project components, conduct business analysis, support the preparation of proposals, statements of work, or change orders, and develop work plans.

Assist with project communications to ensure all stakeholders are aware of project timelines, resource impacts, and operational impacts.

Conduct options analyses as necessary to accommodate requested changes or to solve complex issues.

Serve as a Software Development liaison and supports the Product Management team in developing a Roadmap for the applications, functions, and products.

Create and maintain the Product Backlog for the agile team.

Prioritize the user story backlog to maximize business value and minimize technical debt.

Lead backlog grooming to decompose features into user stories.

Answer questions from scrum team and clarifies intent/requirements.

Optimize the value of work the development team performs.

Ensure the product backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all.

Participate in all agile ceremonies (standup, planning, demo) and is a fully integrated scrum team member.

Develop and document functional and non-functional requirements (Epics and Features) and convert them to technical requirements as needed for front end, micro services, and host developers.

Develop member experience workflows to clearly document the business processes as they relate to the technical solution.

Assist IT staff and/or vendor personnel with the conceptual design and development of systems, and in some cases handle scripting of configurations or test cases.

Develop and execute business implementation plans, test plans and scripts, and regression testing.

Maintain a log of risks and issues with resolution options and timelines, informing the business customer appropriately and escalating where necessary.

Determine how to use Jira and Confluence as the key tools within the Agile team to ensure the team understands both the business and technical needs.

Align with the Architect to ensure solution meets customer needs and all integration points are addressed.

Assist IT with problem resolution and follow up on outstanding issues.

Proactively escalate significant or ongoing issues while understanding the major impacts to technical and business-related areas.

Provide recommendations and solutions that can be implemented to correct the problem.

Work closely with business unit and IT technical staff across all departments to ensure changes are implemented according to business and IT technical specifications.

Work with to coordinate required development and deployment of system enhancements.

QualificationsEquivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of six (6) to ten (10) years of experience performing system analysis, working with large amounts of complex data, and developing member experience workflows is required.

Advanced verbal, written communication & presentation skills

Experience with eliciting and documenting both functional and non-functional technical requirements in financial services setting is required.

Experience implementing process improvements in the system analysis space is required.

Experience mentoring more junior system analysts is required.

Experience working in an Agile environment.

Licenses and CertificationsCSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) Certification preferred.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
