Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Rev Integrity Educator II in the healthcare and social assistance industry in Dallas, Texas. This role involves developing and conducting presentations on coding, billing, and compliance topics, training new providers, reviewing charges, and researching coding issues. Responsibilities: Develop and conduct individual or group presentations on coding, billing and compliance topics, utilizing latest regulatory and industry information. Conduct standardized training for new providers, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and other practitioners, across multiple service lines. Review and follow-up on charges post-training to ensure understanding and compliance with procedure, modifier, and diagnosis code assignment, and documentation requirements. Perform independent reviews on the adequacy of medical record documentation to support the coding of services, in collaboration with Senior Billing Integrity Educator or Supervisor. Research and resolve coding, documentation, and reimbursement policy questions to ensure compliance with specific payer and/or government regulations. Support and/or conduct Billing Compliance risk-based audits in coordination with the Compliance Office. Complete charge review and follow-up work assignments within department timeliness standards, under guidance of the Senior Billing Integrity Educator or Supervisor. Assist with quality assurance reviews for internal or contractor staff to verify the coding or other work is consistent and supported by regulations, University guidelines and/or MSRDP Medicine Audit Plan.Requirements Must hold a bachelor's degree in a health-related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are preferred. Previous experience in medical coding is essential. Familiarity with healthcare industry practices and regulations is required. Strong ability to educate and train others on complex topics related to medical coding and revenue integrity. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex information to a diverse audience. Proficient in using healthcare information systems and medical coding software. Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and integrity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in medical coding and revenue integrity. Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently. Willingness to keep abreast with the latest trends and changes in medical coding and revenue integrity.
