Croissant Lovers, a bakery specializing in artisanal croissants, is looking for a friendly and efficient Bakery Cashier and Food Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, food preparation, and attention to detail. This role involves handling bakery transactions, ensuring food items are prepared to our high standards, and providing excellent service to every customer, including the preparation and coordination of delivery orders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and provide a welcoming environment.
Assist customers with menu selections, answering any questions about our products.
Handle transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments (cash, credit, etc.), and ensure accuracy of orders.
Address customer inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly.
2. Cashier Duties:
Accurately process sales and balance the cash register at the end of each shift.
Issue receipts, refunds, or changes when necessary.
Ensure a clean and organized cashier area.
Food Preparation:
Prepare and assemble bakery items, including croissants, sandwiches, beverages, etc., according to company recipes and presentation standards.
Assist with daily baking tasks when needed (e.g., reheating, finishing touches).
Ensure all food is prepared safely and follows hygiene and sanitation regulations.
3. Delivery Order Preparation:
Accurately prepare and package delivery orders, ensuring correct items are included based on customer specifications.
Coordinate with delivery partners to ensure timely and accurate pickup and drop-off.
Monitor and track delivery orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
Communicate with customers or delivery services in case of any issues or clarifications needed with delivery orders.
4. Cleanliness and Organization:
Maintain cleanliness of the front-of-house and food preparation areas.
Regularly sanitize equipment, tools, and surfaces.
Restock and organize products, ingredients, and supplies throughout the shift.
5. Team Collaboration:
Work closely with bakers and other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
Communicate with the team to ensure timely preparation of orders, including delivery orders.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or food preparation is a plus, but not required.
Friendly and positive attitude, with excellent customer service skills.
Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
Basic math skills for cashiering duties.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and food safety awareness.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
