We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cashier/Food Prep team member to join our team. This position involves finishing, prepping, and bagging baked potatoes once the cook has completed the dish, taking walk-in orders, prepping food for the next day, and assisting with kitchen clean-up after closing. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player who is detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
-Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
-Accurately take and process walk-in orders using the POS system.
-Handle cash and credit card transactions efficiently and accurately.
-Address customer inquiries and provide information about our menu offerings.
Food Preparation:
-Assist with finishing, prepping, and bagging baked potatoes once the cook has completed the dish.
-Prepare food items for the next day, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
-Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Kitchen Operations:
-Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas after closing.
-Ensure all food prep stations are properly stocked and organized.
-Assist in maintaining inventory and informing management of any shortages.
Team Collaboration:
-Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operation and efficient service.
-Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely preparation and service of all orders.
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in a food service or cashier role.
-Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
-Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-temperature kitchen environment.
