Job Summary:

As a Catering Chef, you will plan, prepare, and execute meals for a variety of events, ensuring high-quality food, seamless service, and client satisfaction. This role demands exceptional culinary expertise, organizational skills, and adaptability to meet the unique challenges of catering diverse events.

Key Responsibilities:

Event-Specific Menu Planning and Design

Develop customized menus tailored to clients' themes, guest preferences, and dietary restrictions.

Offer flexible options to accommodate various group sizes and event styles.

Food Preparation and Cooking

Prepare and cook meals in advance or on-site, maintaining exceptional taste and presentation.

Adapt techniques and recipes as needed to suit event logistics and client needs.

Catering Team Management:

Supervise and train staff for food preparation, setup, and service.

Coordinate tasks to ensure smooth and efficient event execution.

Inventory and Supply Coordination

Manage procurement of ingredients, equipment, and supplies for each event.

Maintain efficient inventory practices to minimize waste and control costs.

Safety, Sanitation, and Logistics

Ensure food safety throughout preparation, transport, and service.

Maintain cleanliness and adherence to health regulations, even in off-site setups.

Client Interaction and Customization

Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and special requests.

Deliver an exceptional experience that exceeds expectations and fosters positive feedback.

Event Execution and Presentation

Oversee team performance during events, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.

Adapt to on-site challenges and last-minute changes with professionalism and poise.

Adaptation and Innovation

Develop creative solutions to overcome venue-specific constraints.

Stay current with catering trends to continually enhance offerings and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of professional culinary experience.

Current food manager certification.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday.

Exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to perform under pressure.
