Line Cook

Manhattan Project Beer Company is looking for a dedicated and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality food to complement our craft beers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your responsibilities will include preparing ingredients, cooking ticket items to order, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of all scratch dishes in a gluten reduced environment, including fried chicken, fries, burger, and Arepas.

Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and food safety standards.

Ensure all dishes are cooked to order, maintaining consistency and quality.

Collaborate with Kitchen Team:

Work closely with the head chef, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and smooth operations.

Assist with the preparation of daily specials and catering offerings as business needs.

Food Safety & Cleanliness:

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workstation, including all prep areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.

Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices.

Inventory & Stock Management:

Assist in managing inventory by ensuring that ingredients are prepped, stocked, rotated, and stored correctly.

Report any shortages, damaged goods, or issues with suppliers to the kitchen manager.

Plating & Presentation:

Plate food items with attention to detail and presentation, ensuring that the food looks appealing and meets standards.

Maintain a Positive Work Environment:

Foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere in the kitchen, collaborating with other staff to create a successful and enjoyable work environment.

Adaptability:

Be flexible and responsive to changes in orders, guest preferences, or special requests, especially in a busy setting.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and presentation.

Food Safety Certification:

A valid food safety certification (ServSafe or similar) is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one upon hiring.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and sometimes high-stress environment.
