We are two licensed HCS (Home and Community-Based Services) providers in Dallas, TX hiring dependable and compassionate Direct Care Staff to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a group home setting.
Job Description:
As a Direct Care Staff, you will work in a residential group home setting providing hands-on care and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living tasks, promote independence, ensure safety, and help each client maintain the best possible quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing complete personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transfers
Preparing meals and assisting with feeding
Supporting clients with ambulation and mobility
Assisting with medication administration (if certified)
Monitoring and documenting behaviors, health status, and daily activities
Ensuring a clean, safe, and nurturing home environment
Remaining awake and alert during overnight shifts (RSS group home)
Maintaining professionalism, respect, and compassion at all times
Qualifications:
Must pass a criminal background check
Must have reliable transportation
HCS or group home experience preferred
CNA or Medication Aide certification is a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans
Must be dependable, compassionate, and flexible
