JOB DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a calm, patient, kind, compassionate, warm hearted, good humored, caregiver to work as part of a team to help our 90 year old Japanese mother who has short term memory loss, insomnia and overactive bladder in our private home. We are seeking someone to help her OVERNIGHT with HOURLY toileting and who will sooth her back to bed. She is fluent in English but it would be great if the caregiver has interest in her culture.
ABOUT YOU:
Students, EMTs and/or individuals interested in working in the healthcare industry.
Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team in a private home.
Has interest in healthy living; Exercise & Nutrition.
Comfortable in a home family environment that has cats.
Familiarity with dementia and elder care
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CAREGIVER:
Overseeing nighttime safety of elderly mom in toileting throughout the night.
Performing personal hygiene, bathing and grooming;
Basic Activities of Daily Life; Assist transferring.
Changing bed linens, laundry and light housekeeping.

HOURS: We are hiring for PART & FULL TIME with flexibility to help cover shifts if needed. This position is available immediately.
11 hour shifts: 9pm-8am
Friday: 9pm-8am
Saturday: 9pm-8am
Sunday: 9pm-8am
There is a 3 week paid training and compatibility period to see if it is a good fit.
Compensation: Starting wage of $17 with eligibility for performance-based salary increase after 90 days of employment and evaluation.
