Overview
This is an intermediate to advanced-level role that combines recruitment, administrative support, and cleaning supervision. The ideal candidate is a motivated multitasker with strong leadership, organizational, and people skills. You will play a critical role in recruiting and training new staff, supervising cleaning operations, and ensuring high standards of service while also supporting administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Source, screen, and recruit candidates for cleaning positions
Conduct phone and in-person interviews
Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and training for new hires
Maintain accurate employee and candidate records
Supervision & Operations
Supervise and direct a team of custodians/cleaning staff
Assign daily tasks and monitor staff progress, hours, and performance
Inspect facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to company standards
Train and evaluate employees in cleaning procedures, safety practices, and equipment use
Cover absent staff and perform cleaning duties when needed
Enforce company policies and safety regulations
Administration & Logistics
Collect and distribute necessary materials and documentation
Monitor and report on staff performance and operational issues
Order, receive, and stock cleaning supplies; maintain equipment
Respond to and resolve employee or client concerns and complaints
Coordinate with building management or contractors for maintenance needs
Prepare and submit reports on operations, staff, and supplies
Requirements
Bilingual (Fluent in English & Spanish)
High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training a plus)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
2+ years of experience in janitorial/custodial work, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, supplies, and safety procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
Physically able to perform cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting throughout shifts

Reliable and flexible with scheduling (some mornings/weekends may be required)
