Growing, family-owned waste & recycle company is seeking an experienced, qualified individual to join our team of long-time employees. The position has an immediate start in our Irving office and is full-time, M-F. Hourly pay is weighted on experience and which includes maintaining the company’s basic in-house accounting needs such as:
Daily data entry into Excel
Opening jobs in QuickBooks, entering receipts, costing & maintaining those files
General ledger journal entries and light account analysis
Bi-Monthly invoicing of customers
AP/AR through QuickBooks
Reconciliations of major accounts payable/receivable
Sales tax, franchise tax filings
Occasional special projects
We are also interested in someone who is creative, utilizing other on-hand technologies by merging them into useable report form. Some examples are;
Merging existing Excel spreadsheets into QuickBooks
Downloading GPS data for operational use
Creating job costing from current in-house information
Requirements of the Position are:
Intermediate QuickBooks skills
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong written and verbal ability
Must have excellent work habits and time management
A minimum of 3 years experience in accounting within an office setting is necessary
