Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile professional to lead our fast-paced, factory-based production operations. This dual-role combines modular home construction expertise with warehouse manufacturing management. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on construction skills, a solid background in warehouse production and lean manufacturing, and the leadership qualities necessary to drive team performance and ensure strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Leadership: Supervise the assembly of modular homes and portable trailer units, ensuring each stage—from framing and insulation to electrical, plumbing, drywall, and finishing work—is completed efficiently and accurately.
Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day floor operations, coordinate with management, and maintain production schedules while monitoring inventory and enforcing 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
Blueprint & Technical Oversight: Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide construction and assembly, ensuring designs and regulatory codes are strictly followed.
Team Coordination & Communication: Lead, educate, and delegate tasks to a diverse team, fostering clear communication, teamwork, and a proactive problem-solving environment.
Safety & Compliance: Uphold all safety, health, and environmental regulations (including OSHA standards), ensuring a safe workplace and zero incidents.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Provide regular operational reports to management and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and quality.
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in residential or modular home construction, with a broad range of expertise including framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and finish carpentry.
Proven warehouse management or manufacturing experience, with strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, 5S methodologies, and inventory control.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building abilities, with a track record of successfully managing production teams.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings, with an eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, physically demanding, factory environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
