Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a broad knowledge of Electrical Design and Drafting techniques, including Schematic & Diagram generation. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the principles and practices of related technical areas and the application of electrical engineering to plant construction methods and materials. You will perform assignments independently, with guidance from the Department Manager and Senior Designer on complex problems. Your role will include providing technical direction to Drafters and Designers, reviewing job submittal packages, and performing panel loading calculations. Additionally, you will be responsible for composing Bills of Materials (BOM) and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This position requires extensive and routine contact with project shop and field personnel and entails additional duties as required.Hard Skills
Broad knowledge of Electrical Design and Drafting techniques
Experience working with multiple discipline projects
Experience with electrical equipment such as generators, switchgear, and UPS systems
Understanding industry standard communication protocols
Interpretation of contract specifications and electrical drawing packages
Knowledgeable in National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2015 (2017 Electrical a plus) and/or Mechanical
Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD or similar 3D modeling (Revit MEP or similar)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Experience in Accubid or similar estimating software (a plus)
Emergency Power Generation and Switchgear installation experience
