Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Records Clerk in El Paso, Texas. In the healthcare industry, this role is crucial for the efficient and accurate management of patient information. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the organization and maintenance of patient records in our healthcare facility.Responsibilities: Oversee the collection and processing of patient information. Issue and manage medical files to ensure all patient records are up-to-date and organized. Handle patient admissions and discharges, including the preparation and processing of relevant paperwork. Distribute medical charts to the respective departments within the healthcare facility. Uphold hospital procedures to maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Provide necessary documents and forms to the nursing department. Perform clerical duties such as answering phones and responding to emails. Execute data entry tasks and manage electronic medical records (EMR). Prioritize the confidentiality and protection of all medical records. Organize and file all patients' medical records and information. Requirements Proficiency in Data Entry is required, with a focus on accuracy and speed. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems is a must. A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is necessary. Prior experience working in a healthcare setting is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferable. Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining patient privacy and following HIPAA guidelines. Ability to follow instructions and adhere to hospital protocols.
