Eaton’s Electrical Sector is hiring a Plant Manager in El Paso, TX for our Assemblies & Residential Solutions (ARS) business. Relocation is offered for this position. This position requires 10% travel.What you’ll do:The Plant Manager will report to the VP of Operations who in turn reports to the Sr. VP General Manager of the business. Our non-union site has over 500 employees that work across 2 shifts. This robust site is responsible for fabrication and assembly process for the following products: switchboards and breakers.Eaton Plant Managers are responsible for driving strategic and operational leadership. They drive profit and loss, growth strategy and organizational direction to meet and exceed short and long-term business goals. Our leaders will foster an environment of engagement and inclusion for all employees and act with advocacy, empathy, and accountability.Essential functions: Manage both operational leadership team and functional staff including Quality, Finance, Continuous Improvement, Environmental Health & Safety, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Engineering and Maintenance Act with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to drive Key Performance Indicators Emphasize utilization of Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools (Kaizen, VSM, 5S+) to lead cost improvement analysis and implement actionable, measurable plans. Champion a workplace focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to drive a zero-incident safety culture. Foster a Quality culture of early detection and escalations across the site to reduce cost, drive efficiency and ensure compliance. Partner with Human Resources to drive a talent management, learning, communication, and development strategies.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum ten (10) years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in roles focused on Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, OPEX and/or related support functions in a manufacturing/production environment. Minimum three (3) years of manager of people experience. Authorized to work in the USA.Preferred Qualifications: MS or MBA degree preferred Lean Six Sigma and/or continuous improvement experience Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills Ability to effectively and confidently communicate ideas, concepts, and programs to all levels of the organization Demonstrated success in effectively and confidently providing leadership to employees in a constantly changing environment Must be able to effectively and confidently communicate and coordinate project assignments with employees, customers and suppliers at all levels of their respective organizations Fluent in SpanishSkills:Position Criteria: Exemplify Eaton’s leadership attributes. A thorough understanding of financial practices and financial statements is required, including capital equipment analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, project cost analysis, maintenance analysis, and organizational techniques A demonstrated ability to drive change and successfully lead and implement the change activities Working knowledge of information systems, human resources and driving key projects and plant initiatives Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Proficiency in business software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, etc.) Demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships with all levels of employees Demonstrated knowledge of the methods and practices supporting manufacturing, materials/purchasing and quality assurance Strong conflict resolution skills. Excellent facilitation/coaching skills. Ability to coach functional and leadership teams and help leaders of people develop skills to manage global workforce.
