Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Grand Prairie, Texas. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. This role involves working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments. Responsibilities: Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts. Utilizing software to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. Aiding in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines. Providing assistance with the preparation of budgets and financial reports. Conducting billing duties, including managing accounts receivable, coordinating with other departments to ensure bills are sent and paid promptly. Managing company ledgers and daily reconciliation of accounts. Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial and management reports. Maintaining company accounting procedures and processes. Complying with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements. Documenting and updating finance procedures for reference purposes. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP) Proven skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) Knowledge in Billing processes Ability to perform Data Entry tasks with high accuracy Experience in Invoice Processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with Oracle software Familiarity with QuickBooks software Experience with SAP software Understanding of general accounting principles Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
