This individual will develop, modify, apply, and maintain supplier quality documentation for products and processes. Responsible to guide evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved. This position will primarily be responsible for ensuring nonconforming documentation requirements are met regarding suppliers.You'll make an impact by: Supports production and materials management departments with continuous improvement initiatives in process control Provide support analyzing and tracking of nonconforming data Documentation of non-conforming material, supplier corrective actions, and root cause analyses Inspect product materials for defects and ensure proper scrap requirements are Tracks and records non-conforming returns for root cause and disposition Supports internal customer base with inspection and potential repairs Update our Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, actions, and improvements Audit our systems based on ISO requirementsYou’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications: 1-3 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer and/or Supplier Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment. BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant field (or equivalent experience) Understanding of Quality tools Exposure with BOMs, assembly drawings, engineering tolerances and first article processing Understanding of technical documentation Knowledge of quality practices and procedures, including use of metrics and statistical technique Intermediate level Microsoft Office productsPreferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies Additional certification in Quality Assurance SAP experience Six SigmaApplicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
