POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are actively seeking a seasoned Accountant to perform the accounting and bookkeeping functions across multiple business entities. The ideal candidate will possess profound expertise in both accrual and cash basis accounting, enhanced by a strong background in financial reporting and general ledger management, especially proficient with QuickBooks Enterprise. Key qualifications include substantial experience in Common Area Maintenance (CAM) calculations for commercial real estate and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. The successful candidate must showcase exceptional accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the capability to independently resolve complex financial issues, thereby boosting operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Oversight: Complete the accounting operations and bookkeeping for multiple businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
Accounting Systems Management: Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise to maintain precise financial records and general ledgers for all managed businesses.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports on both a cash basis and accrual basis, ensuring timely delivery to stakeholders.
CAM Charges Calculation: Calculate and manage Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges for commercial real estate properties, ensuring fairness and compliance with lease agreements.
Advanced Software Proficiency: Demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel to manage and analyze financial data effectively.
Issue Resolution: Use extensive accounting knowledge to identify and resolve complex financial issues, providing solutions that enhance business operations.
Detail-Oriented Practices: Apply precision and a keen eye for detail in all accounting tasks to ensure error-free financial records.
Proactive Initiatives: Exhibit initiative by proactively addressing tasks and responsibilities, aiming for continuous improvement in accounting practices and procedures.
Administrative Task: Assist in administrative duties as needed by oversight, supporting the broader team and contributing to the smooth operation of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in both accrual and cash basis accounting.
Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise for financial management and Microsoft Excel for data analysis; competence in Microsoft Word is also essential.
Knowledge of Real Estate Accounting: Familiarity with calculating Common Area Maintenance (CAM) charges for commercial real estate, demonstrating an understanding of property management accounting specifics.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts.
