Motherhood Center is looking for an individual to act as a Mothers helper to assist mom with twin 4 year old and a 15-month-old baby on a part-time basis. Mom is looking for help about 25 hours a week and the times could be flexible for the right fit. The ideal schedule would be a few days a week 8am-12pm, 9am-1pm, or a similar schedule in the morning time. Mom would be home about half the time so must be comfortable working with mom to care for the children. There will be times where the nanny is home alone with the children so must be comfortable caring for 3 children at once.
This family has several environmental/food allergies, some more severe than others. The nanny would need to refrain from ingesting any dairy products (milk, coffee creamer, cheeses, etc.) before coming into the family home because of a severe airborne dairy allergy. One of the twins has an immune deficiency and mild illnesses can trigger severe illness in her. For this reason, the family asks that the nanny avoid at all costs exposure to sick individuals or other children before coming into work to avoid triggering the child. For the same reason, the family asks that the nanny not work with other families to avoid possible spread of germs. Taking the children on outings would need to be avoided completely unless mom is present or until mom is comfortable with the nanny. Also, environmental allergies are an issue for one of the girls. The nanny cannot have any pets, at most a hypoallergenic dog, but absolutely NO CATS due to severe cat allergy.
Nannies must be willing to help to keep the house tidy and neat. No heavy housekeeping is required, but housekeeping pertaining to the children is required.
We are looking for someone trustworthy, loyal, caring, compassionate, responsible, a good communicator, and a natural leader. We are looking for nannies to keep children entertained/engaged, teach children/organizing daily lesson plans, and implement creative/educational games and playtime. A bachelors degree is not required, but a plus.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old with 3 years of professional childcare experience
Recent and relevant references (at least 3 professional childcare related references will be required)
CPR (current)
Reliable transportation and proof of valid auto insurance
Valid drivers license
Up-to-date vaccinations (including flu, TDAP and MMR)
Non-smoker
