Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Part-Time Accountant in Houston, Texas. This role is in the energy efficiency industry and will involve a range of responsibilities from processing full cycle accounts payables to assisting with month-end close duties.Responsibilities: Generate invoices for billing based on contractual client terms Process full cycle accounts payables Perform journal entries and general ledger reconciliations Conduct balance sheet reconciliations Assist with month-end close duties Monitor intercompany accounting activities Perform bank reconciliations Maintain and update customer credit records Use Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks Handle any other projects as they arise in the office environmentRequirements Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in using Quickbooks Online Proficient in Microsoft Excel Experience in Billing processes Knowledge of Intercompany Accounting Experience in Bank Reconciliations Ability to prepare Journal Entries Knowledge of General Ledger management Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
