David Weekley Homes is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join the Accounting and Finance team at our Houston home office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounting, Team Member development, project management and leadership.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead, manage and develop a team of 4 to accomplish team objectivesOversee the month-end close process, produce timely and accurate financial statementsReview journal entries, monthly reports and balance sheet reconciliationsManage the annual external Audit and quarterly Bond complianceManage special projects and perform ad hoc analysisSet up accounting processes for new business initiativesIdentify and drive process improvement, working with existing automation tools, and facilitate development of new toolsRespond to questions from operations and senior management timely, providing a high level of support
