Description We are currently partnering with a leading Energy firm to recruit for an Accounts Receivable Clerk. This position plays a key role in managing and resolving delinquent accounts, as well as serving as a primary point of contact to customers. This position is primarily remote with 1 day onsite in the Downtown Houston office.Key Responsibilities:

Oversee a high volume of delinquent accounts, ensuring this task is given the right level of care and attention.

Actively communicate with customers who have fallen behind on payments, making and receiving calls as necessary.

Engage in professional and timely email correspondence, sending and responding to customer enquiries to ensure outstanding issues are promptly addressed.

Handle account payments/credits by accurately applying them to the right accounts.

Take the necessary steps to create credits, bad debt write-offs, and other relevant adjustments depending on the case specifics.

Create and agree on payment plan solutions for customers struggling to adhere to their payment obligations.

Execute payment runs when necessary to ensure all transactions are duly processed.

Prepare collections packets in cases where debt recovery processes have to be initiated.

Prepare disconnection of service packets if there's a need for service termination due to non-payment.

Flexibility to undertake special projects relating to customer accounts/payments research, providing insightful analysis and feedback.

Requirements

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have previous experience in an Accounts Receivable or collections role.

Strong communication skills for handling calls and emails are essential, as is the ability to work autonomously to manage various tasks and interface effectively with other teams.

The candidate should also be comfortable with handling sensitive customer information and navigating difficult customer interactions with professionalism and empathy.
