Application Systems Analyst (Epic Bridge, HL7 standard, FHIR/API)

SYSCOM, Inc. is seeking an Application Systems Analyst to utilize HL7 standards, integration tools and technologies to integrate various systems. Candidate will work

on-site at our client’s office in Houston TX 77030. Initial contract is for 2+ months with extension when the project enters the next phase.

Job Focus:

• Interface development with good programming skills and understanding of Epic Bridge Module preferably Epic Bridge module
• Certificate and knowledge of HL7 standard.
• This resource will provide on call support, maintain existing interfaces and build new interfaces which requires knowledge of Integration Engine like Iguana, HL7 / FHIR Standards, Scripting language like Lua, JavaScripts etc. and familiarity with API and data base operations SQL.

Responsibilities include:

• Build new interfaces using various tools, API, HL7 standards, Epic Bridge module and Integration engine.
• Support existing Interfaces.
• Enter information into databases from historical system (or exported from historical system) into new system
• Review all data for errors and report and unusually findings to management
• Collect and determine completed of all information before entering data into software programs
• Scan and print required documents needed to collect information for data entry
• Work following privacy guidelines as dictated by state and federal law
• Generate weekly and monthly reports regarding data entry progress and/or risks
• Ensure proper updates of required software and train new employees as needed on company processes
• File and organize paperwork used to enter data into programs to keep a record of original documents

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s level degree
• 3+ years working in a team environment - prefer health care environment and have good understanding of various standards like Integration Engine HL7, Epic Bridge and FHIR/API.
• Good understanding of scripting languages like Java scripting, Lua etc., SQL
• Exceptional knowledge of office computer systems and software
• Strong written and communication skills with clients and customers
• Ability to effectively work within required software and update files accurately
• Organize and add detailed information to the personal calendar of management and other members of staff
• Continuing education regarding best practices in database organization
• Experience maintaining a professional level of privacy in accordance with HIPAA or other relevant regulations
