High School Diploma or GED.

5+ years relevant experience in Assembly of Rotating Equipment Manufacturing.

Expert knowledge of Siemens Energy Turbomachinery rotating equipment assembly (particularly SGT 100-400 and A-35/A-65 Siemens-Energy Gas Turbine and compressor packaging.

Knowledgeable in the workings of turbines and their controls and associated equipment.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

Perform work following all safety procedures and policies.

Layout mechanical tubing and use all appropriate tools.

Operate tubing benders to make required lines for oil, gas, and fuel systems in the turbine packages.

Work with different kinds and grades of pipes, tubing, and structural materials for the assembly of turbine packages.

Review and interpret complex Assembly instructions, specs, schematics, and blueprints.

Read P&ID drawings.

Inventory, clean, and visually inspect all components and stage all equipment needed for assembly and safely offload incoming parts off transport using proper lifting/ rigging equipment and technical questions.

Perform fitting of structural components using tools and required methods for the assembly of SGT 100-400 and A-35/A-65 Siemens-Energy Gas Turbine and compressor packaging.

Assist fitters and electricians in the assembly and testing of turbines and associated equipment.

Perform or assist in the full load testing of gas turbines.

Perform measurements and adjustments as necessary for correct tolerances, and record measurements for review.

Notify management/engineering of issues and deviations from print and regularly carry out and document simple maintenance and cleaning work according to the specifications or maintenance plan. Carry out minor repairs within the scope of the available expertise.

Work with management/engineering to refine assembly best practices and Train less experienced Assembly technicians.

Use a micrometer and indicators to measure tolerances to +/-0.001”, hand tools, air grinders, and overhead lifting devices.

Make part adjustments using various machining techniques.

Assist and cross-train for test and packaging departments as needed.

Maintain a clean orderly work area.

Perform all assigned duties as necessary.

Enforce and practice all company work instructions and any quality control system programs that are implemented by the company.

Inspects repairs, replaces, installs, and maintains all mechanical components, and assemblies on gas turbines and compressor-associated packages.

Work and communicate with Engineering, Quality Control, Material Control, and other crafts in production.

Maintain and obey all EHS standards.

Layout mechanical tubing and use all appropriate tools.

Inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain all mechanical and electrical components, assemblies, turbines, and associated packages.
