Assists in the analysis and development of algorithms and software for clinical, operational, and scientific problems.JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESData Analysis Ensures data is cleaned of missing and nonsense values. Transfers the data into formats that can be read by common statistical software.Software Development & testing Develops R code that can be used to run common statistical hypothesis tests on data. Derives asymptotic distributions of genetic association studies. Conducts simulations using MD Anderson seadragon cluster. Produces tables and figures that are publication quality for statistical journals.Scientific Writing Writes papers for publication in statistical journals. Handles tasks related to paper submission.
