Luce Street, Houston, TX 77087, USA | HS | Full Time Hunton Services, a division of the Hunton Group in Houston, TX ( www.huntongroup.com ), is seeking to hire a Boiler Mechanic who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying, piping and complex heating and steam boiler systems, in multiple types of commercial and industrial applications. This role is labor intensive and will require the use of a variety of hand or power tools, and welding equipment. Plan and lay out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, guides, codes, and work orders.
Ability to identify malfunctions and troubleshoot heating boilers, heating systems, and fuel power boilers with complex issues and extensive repairs.
Install, modify, overhaul, repair, and maintain a variety of complex heating boilers and/or heating systems, single and multiple fuel power boilers, and associated auxiliary control equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on heating, domestic, steam and hot oil boilers and auxiliary equipment.
Utilize and follow established safety practices and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Use and maintain a variety tools and equipment.
Regularly run piping in welded, threaded and Propress pipe.
Read blueprints, schematics, piping diagrams, and drawings of hydronic and domestic hot water systems, steam systems and hot oil systems for proper installation.
Qualifications :
3 years equivalent level of experience.
Formal training in welding or skills in SMAW Welding.
Vertical uphill and vertical downhill with a 6G qualifier.
NBIC or ASME pressure vessel welding experience.
Prior experience with Scotch Marine Boiler Service or Pressure Vessel Welding is a plus.
OSHA 10 Safety training.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
21 years of age.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
Must pass a criminal background and pre-employment drug screening.
Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
