Description We are looking for a diligent Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our team in the legal industry, located in Houston, Texas. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Civil Litigation Paralegal, your responsibilities will be centered around providing support to attorneys, organizing legal documentation, and managing case files. Key responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive legal research and fact-finding investigations. Assist in the preparation of legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Manage and organize case files, ensuring timely updates in the matter management system. Maintain consistent communication with clients, court personnel, and other counsel. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and discovery requests. Gather relevant case-related information from various sources for case preparation. Oversee the scheduling of meetings, court dates, and deadlines, ensuring no overlaps or conflicts. Leverage skills in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, CompuLaw, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) in executing tasks. Utilize expertise in briefing, calendar management, claim administration, communication, draft motions, trial preparation, and civil litigation for efficient case management. Requirements -2-3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal-Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, attorneys, and court officials Experience in drafting motions and preparing for trials Profound knowledge of and experience in civil litigation processes Ability to summarize depositions and evidence effectively and accurately Experience in briefing teams or individuals on case status and updates A robust background in civil litigation paralegal roles Ability to work collaboratively in a team and under pressure Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines A strong understanding of legal terminology and principles Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and manage unforeseen issues Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information professionally Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
