Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Data Engineer based in Houston, Texas. This role is centered around the telecom industry, where you will be responsible for leading the migration of data from traditional RDBMS systems to Snowflake and Databricks environments. Responsibilities: Lead the process of migrating data from traditional RDBMS systems to Snowflake and Databricks environments. Utilize extensive experience with Snowflake and Databricks, including data migration and ETL processes. Apply Python and SQL skills in conjunction with Cloud Platforms like AWS and Azure. Use Python scripting to automate routine tasks and increase efficiency. Ensure the integrity and security of data migrated to Snowflake and Databricks. Monitor and troubleshoot any issues related to data migration. Use Business Intelligence (BI) tools to analyze data and drive decision making. Work closely with Azure SQL Database and Microsoft SQL to manage and manipulate data. Utilize AWS Technologies to build and manage applications on cloud technology. Continually update knowledge and skills, staying current with Snowflake, Databricks, Python, and other relevant technologies. Requirements Proficiency in AWS Technologies Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools Experience with Azure Databricks Knowledge of Snowflake data warehousing platform Proficiency in Python and Python Scripting Experience with Azure SQL Database Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Strong problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience Experience working with large data sets and databases Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to business needs Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
