High Voltage Electrician - Fac Mgt EBSM Bldg Systems

Hours: 4:30 am - 1:00 pm M-F with a 30-minute lunch.Must be able to work overtime and weekends if needed.SUMMARYProvides skilled electrical work of the journeyman level in the installations, maintenance and repair of electrical distributionequipment ranging from 480 volts to 5 kilovolts and up.JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESPerforms Routine Tasks on Electrical Equipment and Systems Installs, repairs, maintains, and services emergency power distribution equipment including generators, transfer switches, metal clad switchgear, circuit breakers, fuel systems andrelated low voltage and medium voltage equipments and distribution systems.Power Monitoring and Reporting Installs temporary recorders on equipment and provides report on operating conditions tosupervisor. Emergency Response Responds to emergency calls regarding all electrical distribution into buildings in the entire Houstonarea. Project Support Provides project support, commissioning, inspections and coordination of outages of electrical systems forboth O&M and Project Management groups. Performs Corrective & Preventive Maintenance Tasks Uses electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical equipment and support other departments in troubleshooting their equipment. Troubleshoots electrical distributionequipment and replace or repair defective components. Read, interpret and field verifies electrical schematics, blueprintsand floor plans.Other duties as assigned.High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a recognized apprenticeship. Eight years experience in journeyman level electrical work involving interior and exterior wiring and the repair of electrical equipment.
