Description We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Functional Analyst to join our client in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily focused on gathering requirements and testing changes completed by IT, all within the context of HR and Payroll operations. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. This is a contract opportunity.Responsibilities include: Dedicate full time to the gathering and clarification of functional requirements for HR and Payroll operations Test and validate changes as they are completed by the IT team Apply knowledge of HRMS to ensure accurate and efficient data management Administer compensation and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies Manage pension schemes and other benefits, ensuring accuracy and compliance Implement analytics for HR decision-making and forecasting Lead HRIS implementation projects, ensuring the system meets the needs of the organization Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures Apply forecasting and modeling techniques to support decision-making in HR Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Teachers Retirement System (TRS), applying this knowledge as needed in the role.Requirements Proven experience in a Human Resources managerial position. Familiarity with HRMS and HRIS Implementation. Knowledge and experience in Compensation Administration and Pensions. Strong understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures. Proficient in Compliance and Policies & Procedures. Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude. Strong ethics and reliability. Proficient in Analytics Implementation and Forecasting & Modeling. Ability to develop clear and fair company policies. Excellent understanding of forecasting methods and data analysis. Understanding of HR functions and best practices.
