Jacobs is NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.We have an exciting opportunity for an Information System Security Officer to join our team with the IT Division.The selected candidate for this role will perform Information System Security Officer (ISSO) functions and duties as called out in the RISCS Operation Guide and all the NASA IT Security Handbooks. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) performing the following:
Serve as the IT security person on the division's Computer Labs Configuration Control Board or participate in the CCB-like approval flow where applicable
Create, coordinate/ensure implementation, regularly review, update, and close (by the assigned date) all Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)Monitor scheduled deliverables against established plans
Ensure findings in the SAR are addressed and closed through remediation or risk acceptance
Security coordinator for all labs, and all IT equipment in the Division
Review all IT Security documentation and update as required
Coordinate the maintenance of contingency plans, and initiate contingency plan self-testing and training
IT Security Incident participation/coordination, including for lost/missing/stolen items
Initiate Division SOC incident tickets where appropriate
Ensure the Asset Inventory Management system is kept accurate and complete
Perform/participate in Security Impact Analyses as necessary, including ad hoc assessments for IT procurements
Update and maintain the RISCS system for the organizations' systems. Maintain frequent communication with the appropriate Information ISOs and offices/divisions to ensure awareness of all IT Security related activities and issues
Support all OCSO data and information requests in a timely and thorough manner. Including fully participating in weekly ISSO tag-ups.
Achieve ATO for Divisions
Apprise ISOs regarding IT Security issues and Division status
Communicate IT Security Incidents, including SOC incidents, immediately to Division ISOs
Communicate to Division users any planned or unplanned IT outages due to IT Security activities, IT Security policy additions or changes, or required IT Security related user actions
Generate ISAs as required
Identify and resolve Antiquated IT Systems (AIS)
Coordinate remediation of scanned vulnerabilities
Coordinate security assessments to include in-briefs, tours, interviews, system testing, and out-briefs
Support Agency, Center, and Directorate data calls and actions
Perform other duties as required

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and normally possesses 15 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Self-motivated, team player, and adaptable to a dynamic environment and the ability to complete all assignments as required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Familiar with Microsoft Office products
Experience organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and schedules
Experience with preparing written documents and verbally presenting at various meetings
Experience with effectively interacting with customers and management at all levels
Requisition Preferences:
Bachelor’s degree in a computer, systems science, or related discipline from an accredited college or university and seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive, relevant experience, or a Master's degree in a computer, systems science or related discipline and seven (7) to twelve (12) years of progressive experience, or Ph.D. degree in a computer, systems science or related discipline and two (2) to seven (7) years progressive experience
Experience with NASA IT systems and processes
