The Lead Paramedic serves as the senior on-site EMS professional supporting emergency medical operations. This role combines advanced paramedic response, EMS leadership, operational oversight, personnel mentoring, and clinical training responsibilities in a high-performance overseas setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee on-site EMS operationsProvide advanced emergency medical care and emergency response supportSupervise and mentor EMTs and paramedicsPerform advanced paramedic procedures including IV insertion, IO access, intubation, medication administration, blood draws, and ECG interpretationDevelop and conduct EMS training, simulation exercises, continuing education, and competency assessmentsMaintain EMS readiness through drills, emergency exercises, and equipment checksSupport case reviews, after-action reviews, and clinical quality improvement initiativesMaintain personnel certification, training, and compliance recordsAssist with EMS scheduling and operational staffing coverageMaintain patient care documentation, medical records, and inventory managementCollaborate with Emergency Management, Safety, and Training departmentsMaintain and update paramedic protocols with the Medical DirectorServe as liaison with the EMS Medical Director for clinical oversight and guidanceCross-train and support clinic, emergency room, and inpatient operations as neededComplete all required compliance and deployment-related training
