Maintenance Tech IDescriptionThe Maintenance Tech I will perform General Maintenance of the Facilities and assist other trades with plumbing, electrical, mechanical and construction needs. Will be expected to develop skills and attend training as outlined by the department to become proficient in several trades.Duties:
General building maintenance.
Work with other trades to learn new skills that may include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, welding, small motor repair and construction.
Perform moves and coordinate surplus.
Assist with new construction projects.
Attend formal trainings and perform related duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired:
High School diploma or GED
Knowledge of general building maintenance.
Ability to learn a variety of new skills both hands on and in the classroom.
Ability to perform and understand math for measurements and calculations.
Ability to operate hand and power tools.
