The Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division (COGMD) consists of a worldwide team helping to power the global energy industry as well as provide power and propulsion on the water.Caterpillar Oil & Gas currently has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Strategy Specialist in Houston, Texas. The Marketing Strategy Specialist will be expected to provide marketing direction and support globally for the Aftermarket business within Caterpillar Oil & Gas and SPM Oil & Gas. They will actively be participating in the organization’s strategy, communications, brand management as well as e-commerce marketing and coordination. They will be responsible for external communications, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders in implementing and executing the company’s marketing and communications plan.Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop, implement, and oversee omni channel marketing & communications strategy, media & communication plans, timelines, and budgets to deliver on the vision and business strategy.

Creates, leads, and manages marketing campaigns from planning to analysis.

Work with the central marcom teams to educate them on aftermarket goals and strategy, and ensure that each team is aware, able, and ready to deliver their part of the experience.

Developing a strong pipeline of new customers through prospecting.

Conducting market/competitive research to identify new opportunities and building effective customer strategies.

Establishing metrics to monitor and review the effectiveness of existing marketing strategies, suggesting necessary interventions for improvement.

Maintaining effective internal communications in the marketing department to discuss and align the marketing strategy.

Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g., vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants, and suppliers).Level Working Knowledge:

Works with vendors to assure that products or services are delivered to time and quality specifications.

Provides feedback on vendor performance to responsible contract administrators.

Resolves routine issues or problems with vendors in organization's best interest.

Identifies communications bottlenecks and recommends appropriate solutions.

Builds effective working relationships with counterparts in vendor or supplier's organization.

Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.Level Basic Understanding:

Explains basic policies and procedures governing global business conduct.

Identifies regions and countries relevant to organization's business.

Research, with guidance, information on country- or region-specific activities.

Describes several issues or considerations for conducting business in another country.

Top Candidates Will Have:

5-7 years’ experience in marketing, preferably in high-velocity B2B environment.

Three years of project management experience showcasing the ability to cross collaborate within a large organization matrix.

Working knowledge of e-commerce product marketing, content creation strategy, e-communications production, social media strategy and management.

Demonstrate record of accomplishment in the development and execution of marketing campaigns.

Understanding/experience in the Oil & Gas industry and/or aftermarket products.

Experience directing and managing agency marketing support.

Additional Information:

Relocation is available for this position.

The primary location for this position is Houston, TX.

Up to 25% travel.
