Description We are in search of a Medical Administrator to join our team located in Houston, Texas. The role is central to our operation, focusing on verifying patient's insurance coverage to ensure necessary procedures are covered. This role is a contract employment opportunity, requiring a strong understanding of medical terminologies and a background in medical insurance verification. Responsibilities: Perform accurate and efficient insurance verification duties by reaching out to payers and inquiring about the enrolment and necessary steps needed. Collaborate with team members to meet or exceed performance metrics. Ensure the security and confidentiality of all sensitive information. Use fax and email services to send documents as required. Engage in enrolment conversations with various parties. Handle heavy data entry tasks, ensuring the accuracy of all entries. Scan, load, and handle various documents, including forms. Manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software Experience in answering inbound calls and managing customer queries Ability to handle authorizations effectively Knowledge of benefit functions within a medical administration context Familiarity with billing functions and procedures Experience in claim administration and processing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Capability to perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning Ability to provide clerical support to other staff members when necessary Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy Experience in insurance verifications, specifically within a medical context Ability to perform medical insurance verification tasks effectively and efficiently Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
